Linda B. Gornitsky, Ph.D.

President and Founder

Dr. Gornitsky established LBG Associates in 1994. Prior to this, Dr. Gornitsky directed a variety of corporate communications programs, developed strategic contributions programs, managed contributions, public issues and public affairs departments and identified new management directions. She developed and managed strategic contributions programs for Citibank and Pfizer.

Dr. Gornitsky frequently speaks, conducts training workshops and publishes on various aspects of philanthropy.  Aside from the five groundbreaking studies published by her firm, she conducted a study, in conjunction with the Points of Light Foundation, examining the benefits to companies of volunteer initiatives. She has also published a benchmarking study in conjunction with the Conference Board on international contributions programs and authored a chapter on community involvement in a book on new models for socially responsible business.

Dr. Gornitsky is a faculty member at the Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College where she designed and teaches courses on strategic contributions and developing signature programs, provides custom training and consults with companies on social investing.  She is a frequent speaker at Conference Board conferences and organized a conference on global corporate citizenship in 1999.  Dr. Gornitsky also helped design and taught an advanced course on volunteerism for the Points of Light Foundation.  She is a member of the SmithOBrien management consulting firm and is on the Board of Advisors of AngelPoints, Inc.

Dr. Gornitsky earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Psychology at City University of New York.

Laura M. Beaudry, MA

Director of Research

Ms. Beaudry is a seasoned business communications and publishing professional with more than two decades’ experience in strategic business and marketing communications, brand strategy and implementation, and benchmarking research design and execution.

Prior to joining LBG Associates, Ms. Beaudry was a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Communications Group of financial services giant Marsh & McLennan. She was responsible for a wide range of editorial, compliance, marketing, and strategic communications functions, including heading up Marsh’s global branding standards. Ms. Beaudry’s career also includes 11 years as the Editor-in-Chief of one the country’s premier direct marketing magazines, Catalog Age. While there, Ms. Beaudry developed the first comprehensive benchmarking research studies for the direct mail catalog industry, as well as landmark research on catalog shopping practices.

Ms. Beaudry has a long history of editorial achievement, and is the winner of numerous awards, including the prestigious Jesse H. Neal Gold Award (the “Pulitzer of the business press”). As a communications consultant, she worked with diverse clients, including Intertec; Peppers & Rogers; Kodak; and the Stamford, Connecticut, Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Beaudry holds an MA in Corporate Communications from Fairfield University and a BA in English from Ladycliff College.
